The secret behind the lemon balm lotion is cold-pressed rapeseed oil. This oil has the most balanced ratio of omega-3 to omega-6 fatty acids, essential for the proper functioning of the body (including the skin), of all vegetable oils. A unique blend of omega fatty acids regenerates the hypodermis, replenishes the lipid barrier, restores the intercellular cement and strengthens the membranes of skin cells (corneocytes). The oil also contains vitamin K, vitamin E and provitamin A.

The latter two are well known for their anti-ageing properties. Panthenol reduces inflammation, stimulates skin cell regeneration and helps bind water in the deeper layers of the epidermis. Essential oil from the leaves of lemon balm is used in aromatherapy to relieve nervous tension and anxiety.
